How We Work.

We do not operate from the outside.
We partner with trusted local believers and leaders, equipping them to reach their own people in ways that are culturally relevant, sustainable, and effective. By working through the local church, the Gospel spreads naturally, leaders are raised from within, and ministry continues long after initial outreach.

Why It Works.

The local church understands its culture, its people, and its challenges, better than anyone else.
When local believers are equipped and empowered:
– The Gospel spreads more effectively
– Leaders are developed from within the community
– Churches multiply naturally
Impact is sustained long term
This approach is not temporary. It is generational.

What we Believe

The Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers to live godly lives and to serve effectively..

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our founder, Dr. Terry Law, was a signatory to the Lausanne Covenant created by the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelism, and OneCoMission World Compassion subscribes to the covenant.

Our Founder

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:7–8

World Compassion was founded by Dr. Terry Law, whose life and ministry helped shape a global vision for reaching nations hostile to the Gospel.

In 1969, following his graduation from Oral Roberts University, Terry co-founded Living Sound International, a music ministry that led hundreds of young people to serve in more than 40 countries.
This marked the beginning of a ministry that would span over 50 years, taking the message of Jesus into some of the most restricted and difficult regions in the world.
Terry’s work took him to nations including Russia, China, North Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq, where he became one of the most influential voices in missions to restricted nations.
His compassion-evangelism model of ministry continues to define the mission of OneCoMission (formerly World Compassion) today: transforming lives by meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of people.
Terry authored several books, including The Fight of Every Believer, The Truth About Angels, How to Enter the Presence of God, The Power of Praise and Worship, and The Hope Habit.
His booklet, The Story of Jesus, has been translated into more than 50 languages, with tens of millions of copies distributed worldwide.
Dr. Terry Law went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2020.
We honor his life by continuing the mission he began, strengthening the Church and taking new ground for the Kingdom of God.
